VEGAN SAGE AND ONION STUFFING RECIPE

Ingredients

50g (2oz.) Vegan margarine

1 tbsp. Vegetable oil

1 large onion, finely chopped

200g (8oz.) Bread crumbs (don’t add all at once, you might not need them all

3 tbsp. Fresh sage, finely chopped

Method

Preheat oven to Gas Mark 4 / 180°C / 350ºF.

Put the oil and margarine into a pan and heat. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add half the breadcrumbs, fresh sage and some salt and pepper. Mix well. Add more breadcrumbs if the mixture seems like it needs more ‘mass’

Tightly press the mixture into a heated oiled baking dish and score the top with a fork (YOU NEED TO PRESS TIGHTLY SO IT BINDS). Bake for 40 minutes.
